Hey everybody, as the state, and eventually nation, slowly closed their doors to group endeavors, we were finishing up judging at the fabulous 3rd Annual Sonoma International Film Festival Wine Competition.

With the film festival on hold until July 30-August 2, we are going to give  a sneak preview of the wine award winners for your drinking pleasure!  Follow me at Christopher Sawyer Sommelier to watch my LIVE Facebook unveiling of the winners for 2020 on Friday, April 17th at NOON.

Then mark your calendars for SIFF this summer to celebrate!

Virtual Vines – Some Online Options to Spend Time With Fine Wines!

As we all grasp the new reality, at least for the time being, the industry has shifted to allow the opportunity to keep filling our cellars!  In addition there is an interactive tasting component being streamed for our virtual pleasure.

As an example, I was just with Tres Sabores on Instagram for their weekly Live Tasting Party, happening every Tuesday at 4pm!  And look out for information upcoming about CellarPass TV, which I will be participating in soon with some very special wine guests!  Until then here is a list of upcoming wineries partaking in the pleasures of our new normal this week.

As springtime quickly arrives we have a great way to enjoy the approaching change in seasons. Come to Gravenstein Grill, at 8050 Bodega Ave in Sebastopol, to try a different winery every week, in the Bartlett Bar from 5:30-7pm!  Wine Wednesday is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a complementary tasting with a local wine producer.
